Mammoth Trading accepted into prestigious Techstars Sustainability Accelerator in Partnership with the Nature Conservancy
Monday, July 29, 2019
Denver, CO—Mammoth Trading PBC is one of ten companies invited to participate in the highly selective Techstars Sustainability Accelerator in Partnership with The Nature Conservancy. Techstars Sustainability Accelerator will provide in-depth training and mentorship from business and subject matter experts for entrepreneurs making a difference for people and the planet.
Mammoth Trading will be working to scale its latest product, TAPP H2O, a mobile app and cloud analytics platform that helps agricultural producers track and, where allowed, trade, water allocations.
“More and more, groundwater is being regulated, but water agencies spend huge sums of time and money collecting and managing water use data,” said Richael Young, cofounder and CEO of Mammoth Trading. “Similarly, agricultural producers struggle to understand how much groundwater they’re using relative to their allocations, or how efficient they are. Mammoth Trading’s new mobile app and cloud analytics platform, TAPP H2O, is a cheap, easy way to track and trade water use, submit regulatory documentation, and quantify conservation practices.”
TAPP H2O has had early success, with broad support from agricultural producers, groundwater agencies, and an environmental organization. Mammoth Trading sold its first subscriptions of TAPP H2O in 2019, helping agricultural producers and their groundwater agency better manage and analyze their data.
“Mammoth Trading has demonstrated strong market demand for cost-effective insights into irrigation management,” said Zach Nies, managing director of the Techstars Sustainability Accelerator in Partnership with The Nature Conservancy. “TAPP H2O is a clever solution with significant potential to incentivize and scale conservation. We are excited to have them in the class.”
The team at Mammoth Trading is also excited by the program and the opportunities to grow its impact on agricultural water management.
“The Techstars Sustainability Accelerator is a fantastic launchpad for scaling an enterprise for positive social and environmental impact,” said Nick Brozovic, cofounder of Mammoth Trading. “I’m really looking forward to learning from, and to being challenged by, some of the sharpest minds working in impact investing.”
The Techstars Sustainability Accelerator in Partnership with the Nature Conservancy begins today, July 29th and runs through October 31st. To learn more about Mammoth Trading and to stay up-to-date on our work, please join our newsletter.
