Mammoth Water is one of 10 companies accepted to the prestigious Techstars Sustainability Accelerator in partnership with The Nature Conservancy in 2019. At Demo Day, we presented what we’ve been working so hard towards: a smarter, simpler way to track and trade water.

Agricultural water is our collective lifeblood, growing our food, fuel, and fiber. And it’s increasingly at risk as a result of unsustainable use, climate change, and new regulations. We desperately need better ways to manage our water.

But you can’t manage what you don’t measure. And measuring water use is hard. That’s why we came up with TAPP H2O, the smarter, simpler way to track and trade water.

TAPP H2O enables better management by enabling better measurement. It helps growers monitor their water use, benchmark irrigation performance, submit regulatory documentation, and trade allocations–all with the tap of a button.

Richael Young, CEO of Mammoth Water, presented TAPP H2O at the 2019 Techstars Sustainability Accelerator in partnership with The Nature Conservancy Demo Day. The event was sold out with more than 1,000 members in the audience and many more tuning in via livestream.

TAPP H2O can be used for myriad applications:

  • Water districts can collect, manage, and analyze pumping data in an automated, consistent, and verifiable format; identify and correct non-compliance; target allocation buybacks in sensitive or high-depletion areas; implement trading platforms or water markets; and more.
  • Nonprofit organizations can analyze water use and efficiency data; identify cost-effective approaches to scale conservation efforts in high-need watersheds.
  • Corporations can incentivize, document, and reward water-efficient suppliers; analyze water use data at multiple scales; and monitor progress towards water sustainability goals.
